Below are brief summaries of how I made my Act 3 Maelle cosplay. I will note that I con crunched this bad boy in two weeks - so it is not the most accurate cosplay! I also utilized pre-made items and altered them (see: my Amazon storefront for wig, boots, and other notions).
I modified a base pattern by Folk Wear called Gibson Girl. I would highly recommend it as the instructions were magnificent and it went together a treat. I had to modify the yoke shapes (since I was crunching I didn't alter the back one, but you should if you want to be really accurate) and add 12 pintucks down the front of the blouse. I also probably would've shortened the sleeves a bit - I just pushed them up to my elbow but I would've preferred less fabric. For the frilly bottom parts, I just used a circle shape and gathered it to fit into the sleeve cuff provided by the pattern.
For the lace parts, it was much easier to work with them after spray basting them in place with an adhesive. The gold accent lines are just a 1/8" gold ribbon glued into place with Aleene's fabric glue.
The jabot was made using this tutorial. though I would remake it in the future as the shape isn't totally accurate to the in-game model, which is rounded/a more circular shape. The fabric I used was also too heavy to get the appropriate drape.
The brooch on the jabot was 3D printed on an Elegoo Saturn 3 using Raisin Cosplay's STL.
The corset was made with the clingwrap and duct tape method to make a pattern, which I then transferred to paper. I then copied that pattern onto my fabric and lining and installed zip ties for boning. I unfortunately made this corset too large (too much clingwrap lol) so it doesn't quite give the shape I'd like. The corset closes with two visible gold/black buttons, but I also added some snap buttons for more reinforcement. I also added white topstitching around the edges and added shading with airbrush/acrylic paints.
This one was very hard for me to wrap my brain around and I consulted multiple people! I ended up draping a large rectangle around my dress form and pleating it/trimming it to the shape I liked. I then transferred that to paper for a pattern and used that on my main fabric. I added horsehair braiding to give the pleats more firmness, but had to iron/steam it down more because they were too firm lol. The silver edges are again 1/8" ribbon glued down, and the peplum waist thing just attaches with Velcro in the back, which is hidden when layered under the corset.
For the skirt, I just sketched out shapes on paper and held them up to my body until I was happy with the shape. I took the mockup shape and traced it onto my fabric and then flipped it over and traced the other side (I couldn't place it on the fold due to the flared angles). I put a gathering stitch at the top and gathered the shapes to fit my hips and then glued the ribbon on the edges.
The base gloves and boots were both purchased off Amazon. For the gloves, I chopped off the fingertips, resewed the edges to make sure the seams wouldn't unravel, and then I tailored it to fit my arm more tightly. I then glued the gold ribbon on the fingertips using makeup brushes the hold the shape in place while it dried.
For the boots, I weathered them with acrylic paints, and replaced the lacing with gold cording and superglued the ends to keep them from unraveling (I was going to make worbla aglets but didn't have any worbla).
